An extra copy of the Memorial Service bulletin was saved by Nina Escudero, who attended the funeral in Yakima, WA. She forwarded the bulletin to the cast webguy for inclusion on this page.
Cary on tour back in 1976-77.
Our cast spent the last four days of October 1976 in Regina, Saskatchewan. It was a cold afternoon on Halloween, where we spent some time in a park. Cary Bassani and several other cast members were fortunate to share the warmth of a barbeque grill while roasting marshmallows. From left to right are: Kathy Libby, Sue Hodgeson, Ilene Lochman, Cary Bassani, and Sherri Marsh.
Somewhere in Kansas or Missouri (can't recall where) our cast participated in a parade. Prior to the parade, Mike Knowles dug out his guitar to practice some UWP songs for the parade. Cary Bassani, Susie Jones and Doris Zichy were enjoying the music and comraderie.
During our first semester UWP shows in Canada, Cary was frequently seen doing the clog while the cast performed "Wabash Cannon Ball". The photo below is one of those times when Cary danced the clog with Kayla Sue Parker.
Cary was also a frequent participant in that 50's sock hop, rock and roll song called Rippin' Along with the Boogie. The photo below shows one of those times when Cary danced Boogie with Sharon Brutger while Jeff Kinder played guitar and sang the solo.
Our cast did a promotional show in a shopping mall. Cary sang the closing rendition of Up With People.
If other cast members have any photos or tributes pertaining to Cary that are applicable to this page, please notify the webguy. Photos can be scanned to create digital images and originals will be returned to the sender.
